The JJM – Chem Check Nylon Brushes are designed to loosen light fouling while evenly distributing cleaning agents throughout the bore. The non-reactive nylon bristles ensure your solvents remain uncontaminated, preventing false readings with copper-trace chemicals and allowing maximum cleaning efficiency.
Often patches alone or stiff nylon brushes will not adequately coat the bore, resulting in the need for more scrubbing which only increases the risk of damage, to avoid this, after pushing a wet patch through to remove loose fouling, apply your cleaning agents with one of our JJM – Chem Check Nylon Brushes and allow your chemicals to do the hard work.

Pro Tip:
We always recommend using a bore guide during the cleaning process. A bore guide helps centralize the cleaning rod, reducing the chance of barrel wear, while also preventing solvents from leaking into the action and trigger assembly.
There are many designs for bore guides including custom designs which can reduce the amount of material that escapes into the bore while cleaning, we are yet to find any are perfect in this endeavor, even the most expensive.
It is our recommendation that regardless of what style of guide you use, you finish all cleans using a bore mop to wipe out the chamber area, this ensures fouling from cleaning doesn’t build up in the area around the locking lugs etc.
