21st Century Expander Mandrel – 17CAL
For those seeking the next level in accuracy, expanding case necks using precision mandrels has become the norm, the result is improved neck tension consistency and concentricity. The practice of using a mandrel, rather than an expander ball that is pulled up through the neck also eliminates the stretching that this process can induce.
21st Century Expander Mandrel are available in .0005” increments in calibers 17 to 338 and will range from .001” above bullet diameter to at least .003” below bullet diameter depending on caliber, this will allow the reloader to find proper neck tension to fine-tune their loads.
21st Century Expander Mandrels and Arbors are designed for proper fit in 21st Century Die Bodies, whilst they will fit most other brands, correct fitment is not guaranteed.
Note: Like most machined products there are tolerances, 21st century mandrels have a manufacturers tolerance of +/- 0.0002″.
